How to replace Chevrolet Traverse cabin air filter. From year 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015.
Locate Chevrolet Traverse cabin air filter
- The cabin air filter is located behind the glove box compartment.
Replace Chevrolet Traverse cabin air filter
- Open the glove box.
- Look on the right side of the glove box and remove the damper arm.
- Remove the two stops from inside of the glove box and let it hang to the floor. Now you will be able to see Chevrolet Traverse cabin air filter housing.
- Release the six clips located on the cabin air filter frame. Take out the Chevrolet Traverse cabin air filter frame from the cabin air filter housing.
- Remove the old Chevrolet Traverse cabin air filter.
- Insert the new cabin air filter into the filter frame. Put the filter frame back into the housing.
- Put the six clips back on to secure the filter frame.
- Put the glove box compartment back on and secure it with the stops.
The model we used was a Chevrolet Traverse 2012 and the procedure could be different for other years.

2011 is different, no clips visible. Only two screws, but still doesn’t appear to come out this way

Same for my 2011 traverse. No clips just 2 screws. Might only be on a certain model like the ltz for that year.
Mine is a 2011 ltz and doesn’t have the Clips either. Only the screws and no filter in the area.
My 2009 Traverse cabin filter I believe is behind my glove box. Everything I read says to loosen the six clips. My area for my cabin filter only has two screws. I cannot get the screws out, so how can I replace my cabin filter?
I have a 2000 Chevy Traverse everybody says it’s behind the glove box I checked it’s not it looks like it’s there but there’s no way to remove the cover I took out the screws that it had holding it looks like I can take it loose but looks like it’s part of the heater box like it’s going to break it there is no clips to just unclip and remove the filter wondering if it’s in a different location please
