First time you need to open the passenger side door.
Open glove compartment and push in on left and right sides of glove compartment to release glove box compartment (see picture).
After do this remove glove compartment and you will be able to see the cabin air filter housing cover.
Remove screw/bolt from filter housing cover and remove this by pushing up on the tab like in picture bellow.
Nissan Xterra have 2 cabin air filter. Remove first filter first and then slide second filter to the left and take out.
Replace old cabin air filter with the new Nissan cabin air filter.
Reassemble cabin air filter/pollen filter/air conditioning filter/dust filter inreverse order
