- The cabin air filter is located behind the glove box.
Replace the cabin air filter on Chevy Silverado 2014, 2015, 2016
- Remove the glove box, by taking out the 4 screws that holds the glove box attached to your vehicle’s body. There are 4 of them: 2 above the glove box and 2 below the glove box. See the picture.
- Lift the upper part of the glove box and gently pull the glove box out. See the picture.
- Remove the cabin air filter housing by squeezing the 2 tabs.
- Remove the old cabin air filter.
- Remove the dust or other impurities from the cabin air filter housing with a piece of cloth.
- Insert the new cabin air filter with the pull tab facing out.
- Attach the cabin air filter housing.
- Install back in place the glove box.
