  1. A. 2003 suburban Does not have a cabin filter.
Please correct your info,so people will not look for something not there

      1. My 2004 Suburban looks exactly the same as pics but the area where it should open up is fixed as in one whole piece that does not open up or come apart

        1. Some cars don’t have a cabin air filter. Please send me a picture with cabin air filter housing.

          Thanks!

  2. My 2003 Chevrolet Suburban does not have a cabin air filter. Does not look like your illustration. You need to change or if your going to put something to inform people do it correctly. Do not give false information.

    1. According to the owner manual 2003 Chevrolet Suburban have cabin air filter and you can locate exactly as explained in the article above.
Attached one printscreen from owner manual.

    2. Because everyone knows IF your car doesn’t have a filter (probably does) then the web site is conspiring with the entire world against you. Try an owners Manual or does you Suburban not have a glove box either

      1. So I realize that this is a old thread but my 2004 Suburban does NOT have a filter. There is a blank off plate where it should be. I checked YouTube and found videos where it’s easily cut out and installed. Need to do this and likely clean evaporator. Just an FYI

  3. My 2003 Suburban does not appear to have a cabin air filter. Now that I bought them, now what?
What page of the owners manual did that drawing come from?

  4. It is incredible that a car so expensive like a Suburban 1500 LT, 2013 do not have the condition to change the cabin AC filter!!!!! CHEY factory is spoiling reputation making some low cost things in these cars and in the other hand losing the opportunity to sell parts. What is the future of a car like this after 5 years with out changing an air filter, what is going to happen ?????Shame on you SHEVY and your engineers.

  5. You all need to look deeper into your own vehicles if it dose not have AT least two filters for front and back you bought a piece of carp ha this site helped me

  6. Does the 2010 Suburban have a cabin filter? We have a foul smell and thought it could be that, but we can’t find where it is.

    1. The foul smell in my 2003 Suburban was from rain water entering from the air intake at the windshield and laying in the air duct and heater-a/c evaporator housing. That housing has a drain but it gets blocked with dirt and debris. The standing muck gets moldy. If you don’t drive the vehicle a lot it doesn’t dry out and stinks. That same muck builds up so the aluminum evaporator core becomes corroded and leaks out the a/c refrigerant. DO NOT put that crap in the a/c system that is supposed to “plug” the leak. It will destroy all your a/c components, including your compressor. If you have a leak, find it and repair it. Get the shop to ‘sniff’ the air outlets with an electronic leak detector to identify if the leak is in your evaporator core. Also, parking your suburban uphill helps drain the water out of the air duct.

  7. There is not a filter installed for the 2007 models. There were filters installed in the older models 199-2002.
I understand that the HVAC system can be modified so that a filter can be installed. I am looking into this for my 2007. You can do a Google search for cabin filters for GM trucks and you may find the information at GM-Trucks.com.

  8. So I own a 2004 suburban and it does have a cabin air filter you can feel it through the fan hole. What I would suggest is that eveeyone who said it’s not on the 03 and 04 models, stick you hand up in the sensor hole next to the blower fan you will feel the filter now you know it’s there so figure out how to get it out and replace it

  9. I have a 03 suburban I can see the filters they’re nasty but that part where it’s suppose to open to pull filters out its molded on so can I cut through it to get access to filters?

  10. First time change to cabin filter in 2011 1500 Silverado. Found it but it’s sealed. Do you cut out a path to insert filter. Can’t open. Somebody said door has to be cut out. Pls advise. TY
