- Open the glove box compartment and remove the screw how secure damper rod on the right side of the glove compartment and detach this from glove box.
- Push on the left and the right side of the glove compartment to release and remove this from the dashboard.
- Here you will be able to see Toyota Solara cabin air filter housing. Remove old filter from the housing by pressing on the side clips of cabin air filter housing cover and pull straight ahead.
- Replace the old filter with the new Toyota Solara cabin air filter and insert in the housing.
- Reassemble glove compartment back in place and attach damper rod and screw.

There is no cabin air filter in my 2003 Solara
2003 Toyota Solara SLE V6. Can’t find the cabin air filter. Completely removed the glove box, nothing’s there. Driver’s side, removed the left footrest, carpet and panels, nothing’s there, neither on the left. I removed the same on the passenger’s side, nothing’s there either. I perform a lot of jobs on this car myself, never have I got stuck like this. I need help, please!
Where is the cabin air filter if it is not behind the glove box
No cabin air filter in my 2002 Toyota Solara SE 4cyl. Went to Toyota in Temecula Ca. for oil change and Multi Point Inspection. They said my cabin filter was dusty, confronted them bout no filter and they said it was a computer error stating they checked the filter on my service report ? Tech did not know what he was doing, several other things were wrong with his work including way overfilling my engine oil !
Temecula CA is awesome btw. Was there 2 months ago. No cabin air filter in the 2003 either! Is it a conspiracy?
